How sync works

The sync queue
Every submission is saved on the device and added to a sync queue. The queue uploads items in the order they were saved.
Automatic sync
When the device is online, MobileForm:
- Uploads each queued submission to your account
- Uploads its photos, files, and signatures
- Marks it as synced
It checks the queue about once a minute while the app is open, and right away when the connection comes back.
Manual sync
When submissions are waiting, the Dashboard shows how many are pending, with a Sync now button. If you are not signed in, it asks you to sign in first.
When an upload fails
If an upload fails, for example on a weak connection, MobileForm tries again automatically:
- The first 5 tries run about a minute apart.
- After that the item is marked as failed and retried every 15 minutes. It keeps retrying until it succeeds.
- Failed items are also retried right away when you open the app, when your connection comes back, and when you tap Sync now.
Monthly limit on Free
Free includes 50 submissions per month. Pro and Team have no monthly limit.
