How it works

Add a Signature field
In the builder, tap Add Field and choose Signature. Check Required if the form should not be submitted unsigned.

Hand over the phone
The signer draws with a finger. It works the same with or without signal.

Submit
The signature is saved with the submission and printed in the PDF report above a signature line.
What it supports
- Any number of signature fields per form: customer, technician, supervisor.

Limits
- Signatures are drawn. Typed or uploaded signatures are not supported.
- No signer identity check, signer email, or audit certificate, so it is not a substitute for dedicated e-signature services.
- The signer's name needs its own text field.
- Excel and Google Sheets show "Yes" for a signed field, not the image.
- Emailed PDFs go to the addresses set on the form, not an address typed during the job.

Signature questions
Are signatures collected this way legally binding?
MobileForm records the signature as an image drawn on the screen and saves it with the submission and the time it was submitted. Whether that is enough depends on what is being signed and where. For contracts with specific legal requirements, check what applies to you or use a dedicated e-signature service.
Can I collect more than one signature on a form?
Yes. Add one Signature field per signer, for example Customer signature and Technician signature, and mark each one required or optional.
Does signing work offline?
Yes. Open the form on the device while online before you lose signal. The signature is saved with the submission on the phone and syncs when the device reconnects.
How does the customer get a copy?
Download the PDF from the submission and send it, or turn on Email PDF on submit to email every submission to up to 10 addresses set on the form. On Pro, you can also send a client share link to the submission.
