Using MobileForm offline

MobileForm is built to work without a connection. Prepare while you still have signal, then fill forms anywhere.
Before you lose signal
- Open the app while online.
- On the Dashboard, tap Go Offline.
- Wait for Ready for offline. Your forms are now cached on the device.
On a phone, adding MobileForm to your home screen makes offline use more reliable. See Installing MobileForm on your phone.

- Capturing GPS (it uses the device's own GPS)
- Collecting signatures
- Saving drafts
- Submitting forms
- Viewing submissions saved on the device
Needs a connection
- Signing in
- Syncing submissions
- Getting form changes made on another device
- Receiving new assignments (Team)
- Importing a paper form (it uses AI on our servers)
- Billing and plan changes
How to tell you're offline
When there is no connection, the top bar shows Offline. A number next to it counts submissions waiting to sync.
What happens to submitted forms?
Submissions are saved on the device first. When the device reconnects, they sync automatically in the background. See How sync works.
