One-page US Letter PDF · ready to print

What’s included

One checklist from preparation to closeout.

Use it for a preparatory meeting before a feature of work starts, an initial inspection when it begins, follow-up checks while it continues, or a final walk before handover. Mark N/A for sections outside the current inspection, like sitework on an interior fit-out.

The PDF has Pass, Fail, and N/A boxes for each check. The Excel version adds dropdowns and counts the passes, fails, and N/As in each section.

Completed example

A final inspection, filled in.

This fictional example records the final inspection of a second-floor medical suite fit-out. The inspector failed a blocked access panel, drywall seams, and open punch list items, and accepted the work with corrections and a re-inspection date. Download the MobileForm PDF report to see every section, a demo photo, and clearly labeled demonstration signatures.

Take the checklist onto the site.

Open the ready-made checklist in MobileForm, adjust the checks to your spec sections, and save it. On a phone, a bar at the top shows which section you are in and jumps to any other, so a follow-up check on MEP rough-in does not mean scrolling past sitework. Deficiency photos attach to the report, and the completed inspection exports as a PDF.

Construction QC checklist questions

Is the construction QC checklist free?

Yes. Download the blank PDF, Excel workbook, and completed example without signing up, and reuse them on your own projects.

How is it different from the QC inspection checklist?

The QC inspection checklist is for products and parts: incoming, in-process, or final inspection of a lot. This one follows a building project, from preparation through sitework, framing, envelope, MEP rough-in, finishes, and closeout.

What do the inspection phases mean?

Preparatory, initial, and follow-up are the three phases of control in federal construction quality control specifications (UFGS 01 45 00), and many contractors use them on other projects too. Final is for the walk before handover. Pick whichever phase your quality control plan calls for.

Does it replace building department inspections?

No. The checklist is your own quality control record. Building department and any required special inspections still happen separately; note their results under Rough-in inspections passed.

Can I add checks for my own spec sections?

Yes. In MobileForm, add, rename, or remove checks and sections before saving the form. On the PDF, use the Notes column or the deficiency lines.

Can I fill it out on a phone offline?

Choose Customize in MobileForm to open an editable form with the sections and checks already added. Save the form and open it on the device while online before heading to site. You can then mark checks, take deficiency photos, and sign offline, and the inspection syncs when connected. Free includes 3 forms, 50 submissions per month, and up to 5 photos per submission.
